Replaces without erasing
When the evidence changes, a new record replaces the old one, and the old one stays readable.
When the evidence under a conclusion moves, SUPERSEDE issues a new record and links it to the one it replaces. The superseded record stays readable and stays verifiable.
History is append-only. A system that can quietly revise its own past cannot be used to answer a question asked years after the fact, which is the only kind of question that matters here.
